I have been in great pain for about 6 months. I don’t have money to pay for the two extractions that I need. I’m 94 years old and my Medicare barely covers my expenses, so there’s no room for an $800.00 dental bill. When I heard about Salem Free Clinics and their dental clinic that provides services for free, I actually didn’t believe it. As I sat in the lobby talking with nurse Judi, I asked how much I would owe the clinic. When Judi said it was free, I started to cry, because I couldn’t believe it. It really is free. Thank you to the wonderful dental team who helped me out of pain.
I came to Salem Free Clinics for a medical need and then the doctor asked if I would be interested in being referred to counseling. I was reluctant to say yes, but I did. When I met my counselor at the Salem Free Counseling Clinic, within a few minutes I knew this was the right thing to do for myself. After a few sessions with my counselor I feel like I am handling things in my life so much better. I am thankful to have this opportunity for counseling because I wouldn’t be able to pay the high cost to go anywhere else. Thank you for helping me with my medical needs and now with counseling.
This place is the Lord’s care taker! They have amazing services, are open to the [the uninsured], and serve great deeds for the public. I had a wonderful experience with a tooth extraction and recommend [the clinic] to anyone who is unfortunate enough to not have medical services open to them . . .
The nurse was a kind and good listener. The doctor was exactly the person I needed to see when health issues were worrying and confusing. She listened attentively, explained things in detail, and allowed ample time for the visit. Everyone I saw was kind, respectful, and compassionate. The women who prayed with me were full of love and positive spirit. I left feeling so much better and with a positive recommendation I can do myself. These folks were the angels of my morning! I would definitely return to this clinic. This is what modern medicine SHOULD be like.
I’ve only been seen by the dental group, but these people go above and beyond in caring to all that come there. I was a traveling nurse who’s facility went down with Covid. I lost my job and was unable to afford to get home across the country and they treated me better than any other clinic or even business in the world! They kept me hopeful in life and made me feel important at the worst time of my life. I want to thank every one of them from the bottom of my heart. You make miracles happen and I will always be grateful to you for taking part in helping keep me safe and healthy waiting to get back home. Thank you and God bless.
